Waiting on the American Dream is a part of an on going project that I have been working on for the past forty years. Inspired by the very first photography book I viewed, " Black in White America," by Magnum photographer Leonard Freed, who documented African America life in America in the early 1960s. I was inspired by his photography, using visual language to create dialogue regarding race and class in America.
