Racism is taught -- no child is born with hate. As an Asian-American, I'm often horrified by the news headlines and papers that enforce many stereotypes -- this was especially true during the height of COVID-19. These subtle and not-so-subtle acts of ignorance hurt other BIPOC communities as well; for example, making the protection of black and indigenous lives political. We are instilling divides between our children. We must teach love regardless of race, religion, and gender.
